Full time bloggers - do you pay tax?

they are paid thru third party money merchants like paypal and transfer dayon to local banks for a fee.

any bloggers lurking around? Im asking kay I plan to go full time as well, but its not related to blogging.

Paying taxes is not an option if you make enough money to pay taxes. If you are a full-time blogger, obviously you make enough money to pay taxes or you'd have another job.

Paying taxes makes you a legitimate citizen. Being one has its perks and benefits. One is, it validates your income... if you're applying for a job or you're getting a job offer. You can use it as proof that you are indeed getting that kind of salary and depending on the situation, use it as a bargaining leverage. Another good use for it is it can help you get a foreign entry visa easier... or even loans / credit cards. The only downside is that you are getting a slightly lesser amount... other than that, it all depends on your view.

I understand the purpose of paying taxes. The reason Im making this post, is to clarify what taxes are paid for citizens who have income purely from online sources, in my case it would be online poker.

Ive talked to a few bloggers and they say its tax free, because our tax law is not yet amended for online income, and Im trying to find out here if its 100% correct. Or I might need to consult a CPA/BIR employee.

Thanks for the input, Ive already thought about these pros and cons. Once I decide to go pro in poker, I have to complete all my government IDs and get some credit cards, because until I can setup a passive income that I receive locally, I will have problems applying for them.

I dont mind paying taxes as long as there is a clear law about it. Inputs from CPAs and BIR employees would help as well.
