but there are cheap ones nga masaligan man pud like ECS n2u400-a (nForce2 chipset + dual memory)

For Socket A Epox is #1, overclockability and stabilty, is excellent.
Then paired with a mobile Barton or Athlon ok kaayo.

Asus dili man kayo ma overclock because it has no voltage options.
same as ECS.

MSI is great for socket 939.
