more on defense than offense ang aikido hehehe
nag aikido ko before sa baseline... pero naka ko na notice na trend during my time kay basata ma breen belt or brown belt kay dali ka.au mawala.. ganahan ko mu balik next year.. hope my body still remebers all those stuff
so far I consider AiKiDo as peaceful form of matial arts and it's good for people who wants peace and harmony while training. not really advisable for self-centered and egoistic people though...
Aikido is maayo for it teaches the person to harness his energy in harmony with his environment. It defines the teaching of self-restraint and control in the most perfect form. Aikido can never be applied in a scenario where there is an opportunity to harm an opponent, let's say a tournament, for it's philosophy is different than those of other disciplines.
aikido is useful for self defense. especially in an environment where d jud pwede ang physical aggression like sa work or school.
when you're attacked, aikido can be used to neutralize the attacker or discourage him from initiating more moves.
Against street fights and slam bang style of fight -no.
For self-discipline and balance - a resounding YES.
depende dyud na sa nag perform ug sa unsa iya g gamit nga technique. i mean naa uban technique sa aikido nga effective baya pero naa pud uban nga siguro for most people dili as efficient.
