    Default Formaldehyde/Formalin on SHAMPOO...

Formaldehyde is a chemical compound with the formula H2CO. It is the simplest aldehyde—an organic compound containing a terminal carbonyl group: it consists of exactly one carbonyl. It was first synthesized by the Russian chemist Aleksandr Butlerov (1828-1886), but was conclusively identified by August Wilhelm von Hofmann.[1] Formaldehyde exists in several forms aside from H2CO: the cyclic trimer trioxane and the polymer paraformaldehyde. It exists in water as the hydrate H2C(OH)2. Aqueous solutions of formaldehyde are referred to as formalin. "100%" formalin consists of a saturated solution of formaldehyde (roughly 40% by mass) in water, with a small amount of stabilizer, usually methanol to limit oxidation and polymerization.

Although BFAD approved, nakakatakot namang isipin na hinay-hinay na ini-embalsamo kapag naliligo gamit ang shampoo na may Formaldehyde.

Try ninyong tingnan shampoo brand nyo!

Your giving formaldehyde an ugly name.

Do you know why they use formaldehyde in embalming the dead?

It's because they want to preserve it and kill the germs, that's the main role of formaldehyde; to disinfect and preserve the product; in other words a preservative. Imagine your bath cleansers without it? In fact, there is a far greater risk to skin from a product without preservatives, because of the contamination and unchecked growth of bacteria, fungus, and mold that can result if no preservatives are used. Despite some claims, there is no higher level of skin reaction to formaldehyde-releasing preservatives than to other preservatives(like alcohol, which is an irritant).
