You can listen to them because they too are Bible fundamentalist aka Sola Scriptura advocates, they are well verse with the Bible. Anyway, I will just call you a Sola Scriptura advocate instead of Bible fundamentalist if the latter term offends you.

Its very crystal clear bro and we as Catholics already aired our side, but did you listen? You forced the issue on our throat that you use the Bible as a measuring stick to show us how wrong we are, and when I used the same measuring stick to show you how wrong you are, you didn't even care to explain your side. You just said, God is merciful, he'll understand and you only burst out with emotions. What if we will use the same answer you gave us?
Yes, we venerate and respect images, but its up to God to judge us, he is merciful and understanding.<---Don't we have the right to use this convenient answer too?

This has already been explained. Our faith hinges on the authority of the Cat-holic church.

OK thanks for your reply. and thanks for giving me a new name as a Sola Scriptura advocate... Who else you want to name names? WOW! And to tell you i did not burst out my emotion, its just like people always put words in the mouth of others.

Bible is the measuring stick? what else you have in your mind? and where they get those spiritual nouurishments? please do answer me and educate me here if im wrong or right, please. and could you explain to me what is happening to Quaipo? dont you consider it worshiping? THANKS.

    PEACE!

Bro, to complete the picture. From the Catholic Church, arose the reformist and from the reformist the Protestant and from the Protestant the Adventist, Evangelical, Pentecostal, etc.
I'm curios though. Which of those Christian churches are Born Again? Adeventist, Evangelical, Pentecostal, etc.

Long before, there were already denominations or Lemans term "branches" of the Christian Faith, but their names were based on the places that they were in... this is clear on the Letters of Paul... He actually grouped them according to places and enumerated their focuses, their strengths and their weaknesses...

    1 Corinthians 1

1Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:
3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    1 Thessalonians 1

    1Paul, Silas[a] and Timothy,
To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
    Grace and peace to you.[b]

Which is kind of like what we have today... we have the Catholic Church which branches out to Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox Church, Independent Catholics, Liberal Catholics and Lutherans... same as the Born Again Christians which branched out Protestants to the Baptist, Adventist, Evangelical, Pentecostal and much more...

But we have to remember, where this all started... When Christ came down, showed us His love, died for your sins and rose in victory... as He rose to the heavens, that was also the birth of the Christian faith when He finally gave to the apostles the great commission to let the whole world know who Jesus is...

when you ask a Catholic if your a Christian or a Muslim, i think you know what your reply would be... you definitely say, I am a Christian, a member of the Catholic church, right?

Sola Scriptura (Bible alone) and Sola Fide (Faith alone saves). This is the basic doctrinal position of most non-Catholic Christians (This has been openly taught by Martin Luther during his time up to now by his followers). On the othe hand, the Catholic Christians believes that the Catholic Church has the final authority in giving spiritual guidance to its flock and also, the Catholic Church teaches that "faith and good work" must go together in order to obtain salvation contrary to Sola Fide (Faith alone saves).

Bible is the measuring stick? Nothing wrong with using the Bible as measuring stick, but remember that whatever measuring stick you use to judge your brothers, that will be the same measuring stick that will be use by God against you.

And with regards to Quaipo? Yes there is worshipping going on, but there is a but. There is worshipping going on but, it is directed to Jesus Christ, and not to the image itself.

worshipping God through images is like believing God through Bible

    image = a representation
bible = a representation or basis of faith

why worry for those who are in quiapo?

i'm sure they are not praying para mangamatay tang tanan..

    simple logic.

Actually, Protestants was like a Leman's term for the reformist of that time... It was what the Catholic high officials called the reformists...

Born again is a term for people who accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior...

its a description taken from the scriptures...

    John 3:3
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "

Usually to better describe yourself as a Christian, we say, we are born again... instead of saying the specific denomination... so sometimes you will hear Protestants, baptists, pentecostals say "I'm born again"

did that make sense to you?
