try nimo bai i-ping ang site sa yahoo or use traceroute..
i'll make this systematic...
isolate sa nato ang problem. first, di ka ka-browse, we need to check if system is REALLY connected to the internet.
do a ping...open command prompt and ping a website "ping -t google.com" -t means trace, ping will not end until you Ctrl + C
if, naa gani response, it means your computer is connected to the internet. which could be a problem with your browser, firewall, or even windows itself. check if maka access ka sa safemode with networking, if yes, its a problem with either browser, firewall or os. then try disable firewall, reset internet explorer or reset winsock settings (google lang brad kung unsaon ni sila)
wala gani response sa ping...we need to verify if the system has the correct ip settings. it doesn't matter if you're in safe mode or normal mode..do a ipconfig.
if ip address starts with 169.x.x.x, this means windows did not receive an ip address from your modem and assigned itself (autonet configuration) if ip address is 192.x.x.x or any other variation aside from 169, this is a valid ip address - disable firewall, reset internet explorer or reset winsock (worse case scenario: os reinstall).
if ip address is autonet, do this in command prompt: "ipconfig /release" then, "ipconfig /renew". kung mo error gani (cannot contact your DHCP server), do a powercycle - turn off modem and computer, turn on modem first - wait till all lights are back on then turn computer on...check access or check ip address once system is booted up.
kung wala japun meaning, wala ip address nga valid, check cabling. basin naa bali or putol. check nalang sad imong network port...naa mana pins. check for bent pins or missing pins inside. verify nalang sad kung naa issues imong network adapter sa device manager.
mao lang sa ni, post your results here. but then, sa imong problem mura ISP-related man guro ni.
