yes all of them has tasted defeat but Vera is in no way the same skill level or even experience against top lightheavy weight fighters in the ufc.

the problem with vera was he was in active for almost a year. hes last fight was against frank mir on ufc 65 and he fought again in ufc 77.

when he fought tim sylvia, he was still rusty and broke his hand in the first round, but still sylvia wasnt able to knock him out.

against werdum, he was starting good and he even hurt werdum, but a bad decision by the referee caused him the fight. its unfortunate that he lost his last two fights mainly because of bad luck, he performed well but got injured and got a bad decision. he can still come back, its better that he stays active fight tune ups before facing the big boys of the heavyweight division. he can even ask to fight on the next ufc fight card since he was not hurt in the last fight.

Werdum just got REALLY lucky. (like a student passing the finals because the prof. is not available for the thesis defence..hehe.) i would love to see vera vs. mir part 2 or vera vs. gonzaga or even vs. cro cop just to redeem himself and send a message that his still in the game..i also welcome the idea that he move down to LHW. he will definitely OWN that division!!
fedor and randy is not under contract with the ufc and i dont think they will be, cro cop is also not under contract with ufc anymore. sa as long as those three are not in the ufc, vera has a very good chance to become the ufc heavyweight champion.

and i think frank mir is fighting noguiera for title.
hope he will fight gonzaga or kongo on UFC 87. he must be active its the only way to imporve his skills.

either way it's hard. he's too light and small in the heavyweight and he'll be pitting against the best in the light heavyweight.

but playing in the light heavyweight category would make everything so worth it. fighting his way to the top against the likes of quinton jackson and chuck liddell is something to really look out for.

but first things first, let him settle the score against fabricio werdum. it was not a good decision after all.

anha na nato ma kit-an og unsa jud ka ngilngig c vera!
ngano adto man cya da HW? nga gamay ra man didto?
og mo top cya sa LHW, di ba mas nindot iya reputation?
anyway ma kuontra jud niya c Machida og mag LHW cya,
lami-a cguro tan-awn ma kontra niya ang mga ngilnig sa LHW

now anderson silva has moved up to 205, make it even more tougher for Vera.

he can go down to 205 but i think he must fight at least 3 tune up fights before facing the likes of machida, thiago silva, chuck lidell, shogun rua, forrest griffin, wanderlei silva, rampage jackson and anderson silva.

LHW or HW he must improve his skills to top any divisions.

or maybe a vera vs werdum part 2

not so fast there. a lot of super class a fighters will be waiting for him there. it's a steeper uphill climb for him but at least it's his best category. vera actually has the potential to become the best in either the heavyweight or light heavyweight division.

any division very can be at his best, but i think its not yet time to fight big names in HW or LHW division, he need to gain more experience and improve his overall MMA skills.
