We are mot self righteous. While we are Catholics, we do not claim that we will be saved automatically. We have to work on it. If we sin and be separated from God's grace we also cannot be saved.

I dont want to ostracize people that dont belong to RCC. Its your choice. We are just sending you our warning from our perspective.
just to comment on the lines in bold.

it is but ironic that you have to work for your salvation and yet be possibly saved by others thru prayer. when a person dies a sinner, i do not understand how marathon masses could lift them up from hell to purgatory (if there is such a dimension) or heaven.

the way i see it, you have made the Catholic Church your own god and saviour - for without it, you could never be saved.
    WATCH YOUR ATTITUDE!

It is up to ourselves as members of these respective instutions who can attain ideal beliefs/practices that will conform to the religious concept established by God....

and here we are engaging in futiledebates on what is really the true religion

    AMEN!

hehehe. Maybe what should be discussed here are points of views of the different religion, their approach to faith and spirituality and not how their religion can kick the other religions buttocks.

this reminds me of a SouthPark episode when Jesus and Santa had a fist fight.
Lisud na bay kay di gyud malikayan moingon ko nga this is how we approach spirituality in Roman Catholicism dayun naa dayun mosupak.

Ang ako punto di man ko mamugos kung wa moy religion. Kung moingon ko nga outside the church no salvation, ngano ma affected man ka nga in the first place you are not bound by it because you do not believe it.

So to each his own. If you can say that you can be saved in any other way, then will and good, find that salvation. But asa far as we are concerned we really dont know how would you do it. Just like being marooned on an island ba. Diskarte ra nimo unsaon.

I noticed nga naay uban diri grabe ang kalagot sa katoliko. Perhaps siguro kay ang Catholic is one establishment nga lisud gyud tumpagon mao nang frustrating kaayo noh?

Anyway we continue to reach out for our brothers nga naay mga misinterpretation sa Catholicism. Kung makasabot lang unta unsa gyud ang RCC. . .
well that can't be applied to me..i'm a Roman Catholic and i go to church every sunday..i have no angst or whatsoever with my church and its practices..im only asserting facts here that any religion is bound to be flawed for the basic reason that man itself is flawed..to err is human.

what i find disgraceful nowadays is the way our catholic leaders INSTITUTIONALIZE the church..what i mean here is, instead of being of SERVICE they are now into PROFIT making...best examples are the finest catholic schools and hospitals in the city..

fact is..there was this news that a patient died coz he/she was not admitted immediately by one of the perpetual soccor hospital staff..reason??..can't provide a downpayment!

    Deuteronomy 15:11
"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land."

You can’t help but remember that the church is about people, with all their sins and needs and differences. You become very aware that apart from God’s Spirit, this thing called the church will never work!

Definitely, Truth Hurts. The word institutionalized can be also refers as commercialized. I'm a candid Roman Catholic and a proud one not because of the teachings, practices and beliefs but the way how I encountered God in my own.

Be a Catholic and you can find the answers to all your questions.

I don't believe of being associated to a particular religion can give you answers and salvation. I believe
on human compassion and sacrifice, helping each other, religion is just a way to be able to associate with other people with the same spiritual belief of the higher order. There is no no.1 or no.2 of a religion, GOD doesn't
choose through your association of your religion... either you'll be a catholic, protestant, muslim, jew...

Not all answers can be found any books nor scriptures. Actually, "candid Catholic" is my personal description of a person who is characterized by openness and sincerity of expression; unreservedly straightforward, free from impartial and bias towards its religion.
