    ActionScript 3 is a nice language to learn.. especially now that it's range is growing to desktops and web development..

    Cobol ... the best for banking systems.. even Unix hard to hack.

    Java, PHP, VB.NET, C#, with some standard ANSI SQL

    Largely depends on which platform you want your programs to run, and what kind of applications. If you already know these, C++, C, or Assembly are good to learn, but dali ra ma discourage kung beginners go directly to these languages. Nindot na kaayo ang output sa beginners sa uban programming languages, ang output sa Assembly program nimo "Hello World" pa lang gihapon in DOS text pa gyud.
