I've see a lot of Pinoy action films in my life and I think the problem is they haven't changed a lot over the years.

As someone pointed out here already, story usually goes like this:

-New rookie cop just trying to do good things.
-New rookie good cop pisses off veteran bad cop.
-One night while the good cop is having a pancit dinner with his family, bad cop and his goons does a driveby shooting at his home killing all member of his family.
-Good cop gets emotional and shouts out loud the title of the film. He plots a revenge afterwards.
-Good cop meets a new love interest (usually 10yrs younger than him) on the way.
-As a treat for the male moviegoers, young leading lady shows her tits during a lovemaking scene.
-Young leading lady gets kidnapped.
-A car chase takes place (involving some of the ugliest vehicles you've seen in your life) supposedly during peak traffic hours.... but miraculously there's no traffic.
-Final battle scene takes place on a abandoned factory.
-Lots of shooting involved. For some reason, good cop just doesn't get killed eventhough the bad guys shooting at him are a just a few meters away.
-With all the useless goons dead, good cop has a chance to kill the bad cop with his weapon. But wait no, he does not pull the trigger and kill him. He instead will drop his weapon, and the two gets into a heavy fist fight involving some of the most ridiculous sound effects.
-Good cop gets b!tch slapped by the bad cop heavily and is bout to kill him.... but that's the cue for the young leading lady to pick up a weapon and kill the bad guy.

way au ning mga pinoy action movies kay wala gyud ni evolve. sukad pagka gamay naku kay the same story lines og stunts ra gyud. ganahan kog pinoy action movies kadtong gamay pa ko pero wala gyud ni change with time mao nang nagka dugay, nagka way lami na.

1.) very predictable and redundant storylines. the storyline of films 20 years ago are basically the same as of today.

2.) we no longer have good action stars. what the heck is piolo pascual and richard guttierrez doing with a gun? and i can't imagine them making sam milby as the next big action star. imagine an action star having a relationship or being linked to another man?

3.) filipino action is more inclined to street fights/brawls or good cop vs bad cop. hollywood and international films are making very good action films like the french movie district 13, a good choreographed fight scene is always better than brawls.

4.) if the story won't be redundant, it's being copied from other foreign films. walay originality and creativity
