ang ako nasabtan sa post ni bro bcasabee kay we trust our priests to be correct in the celebration of the mass, just as we trust the surgeon when they operate patients, the lawyers when they manifest in court, the public accountants when they give opinion regarding the financial statements, the civil engineers when they make buildings and other professionals. because these professionals, just like our priests, spent years of education in their own field and passed the requirements/experiences to do so.

Religious worship is not directed to images in themselves, considered as mere things, but under their distinctive aspect as images leading us on to God incarnate. The movement toward the image does not terminate in it as image, but tends toward that whose image it is.
