the LT's purpose is for word processing, web browsing, and old school games (eg. warcraft). hehehe i was thinking 2gig ram with vista. ang akong gipangita kay aftersales og free vista disc(mao unta na akong gusto sa DELL cebu, pero letdown kaayo ilang mga models! dili complete)

what im worried about LT's: battery life, OS issues

@doki, hi end laptop short battery life, wala tay mahimo ana, usually mid end laptop mga 2hours kapin rajud na, well if word processing lang buy a celeron laptop para sa imo mom, daghan below 30k.

Sa OS u can buy xp home or vista home basic na full product, if naa na bundled OS ang laptop then use it nalang. mind kai naa vista premium.

i went to SM to do window shopping. Dell has XPS kaso mahal!
unsa inyong ika recommend na Laptop brand and model? budget: Php40k

but in terms of software support: downgrade to xp.. upgrade/update to vista sp1, i got u covered.( this is the most helpful PRO )

but blazing speed if graphics application or CAD..

by the way, dell have drivers for older OS available too even if your system comes with a pre-installed vista. so if you decide to downgrade your system to XP or even windows 2000 then all you have to do is download the drivers from dell website. no need to look for hacked drivers. maximum compatibility and versatility. hehehehe.

I'd say 32 GB RAM... for vista x64 ultimate supports ram up to 128 GB..
