    Yups...although naa pod silay alternate install CD for more installation options. Pili lang didto sa ilang website.

    I think ang alternate CD is used for upgrading an existing Ubuntu OS. Actually, built-in na sa Ubuntu ang live-cd.

    Suggest to use Ubuntu, especially for desktop/laptop use. I used Fedora before. Switched to Ubuntu, because there is better documentation and broader user base for Ubuntu. If you need specific drivers, software to run in Ubuntu, you are more likely to find someone who has already done it before and has a solution online.

    Ubuntu. Nice lang. Hehehe. Bitaw, na-receive na nako ang free cds nila, Ubuntu 8.04.

    With regards to installing Linux on a laptop, I'd go with Ubuntu. They've been getting better and better since 6.06. It's my OS for work.

    For personal use though I'd go for Mepis 7.0. Its a more home user oriented O.S.
