There is also a saying "A family that prays together stays together". If you consider the community as a family, it might also be applicable to that community.

I think there is also a verse in the Bible, that says that God will surely be present in a group of people praying together, I'm not sure though.

    yes, naa pud:

Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...."

but, most of the time doing things together is better than doing it alone...

When the first followers of Jesus in the early church prayed together, that community experienced power. Luke tells the stories in the Acts of the Apostles. These young believers met together in an environment that was not hospitable to this new faith. In response to danger and threat, they “raised their voices together to God” (Acts 4:24). Then, “when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness” (4:31). Later, when Peter was put in prison, Luke reports, “the church prayed fervently to God for him” (Acts 12:5). The doors of the prison were opened. (Praying Together by Martha Graybeal Rowlett)
