Evangelicalism can be define in many ways. It is associated with Protestantism, does it ring a bell?
Today one can be considered as evangelical if you adhere to the following doctrines:
1) Salvation by Faith alone
2) Sola Scriptura
3) One God in Three persons
4) Jesus is both man and God
5) regeneration
6) Infallibility of the Bible
7) Second coming of Jesus

repentance of Sin
9) No image worship
10) no ritualistic prayers
11) No other mediator not even saints or mary but Jesus alone
And the list continues...
