"Evangelical Christians" ra... unsa mana siya? Unsay definition ana niya? Evangelicalism can be define in many ways. It is associated with Protestantism, does it ring a bell?

Today one can be considered as evangelical if you adhere to the following doctrines:

    1) Salvation by Faith alone
    2) Sola Scriptura
    3) One God in Three persons
    4) Jesus is both man and God
    5) regeneration
    6) Infallibility of the Bible
    7) Second coming of Jesus
    repentance of Sin
    9) No image worship
    10) no ritualistic prayers
    11) No other mediator not even saints or mary but Jesus alone

    And the list continues...

I dont have a religion but i do communicate with God every night. I know the bible, and i follow "some" what is written in it kasi nga im not perfect, im a sinner i admit it kay daghan kaau temptation BUT i believe im a good person. Does having no religion makes me evil? Jesus is the way, the truth and the life... Does it mean i dont go for priest and magsimba makes me evil? This is my point lang ha.

Before kasi, going to church has more temptation than praying to God at night. I believe i am a sinner, obviously not perfect BUT i know God still love me. And again, this is only my point.

let me share what i think...but dont consider this as the ultimate answer for you, you have freewill.

You still need to go to a church and be under its ministry. The Pastors are undersheperd of Jesus. They will provide you with spiritual nourishements that will make your soul whole.

Realising that you are a sinner is a good point to start with but you need to take a little stretch. that is to acknowledge Jesus as your personal Savior and repent of your Sins. Then start dedicating your life for Him. You dont need to be perfect to follow God, All you need to have is humility, accept that you are a sinner and that HE is Holy. Believe in His work at the cross.

Now i dont want to preach here but if you want more clarification, send me a private msg.

There are people who isolate themselves from the outside world like monks and hermits. I think there way is more challenging. Depende ra jud nimo kung unsay imong preference.

Why wont you answer my question? Do not tell me hasta ikaw wala sad ka nakasabot sa imong own "Evengelical Christians".

You profess that you know us diba? Well learned diay ka na tao or imo knowledge gikan lang sa tsismis and gi hunhung lang sa yawa.... well nobody knows diba? As for me wala ko kahbalo unsa gyud imo pasabot anang "Evangelical Christains" nimo... mao na ni ask ko. Is it wrong to ask? Ask and ye shall be answered man diba?

Gi konsedera nya nga daghan syag nahibaw an ug kinahanglan nga makita ninyo nga sakto siya.

Thanks for the reply. The reason why i pray at night than going to church every Sunday is that im new to Cebu i dont know churches here, i know it sounds funny but its true, im just being honest. tapulan lang jud ko magsimba. BUT somehow, praying to God in a solemn place like my room every night is mas nindut pa compared sa magsimba ko, sako lang ni observation ha. I have been to different religion pero daghan ko makita na sayup so might as well go directly to Jesus as He is the way the truth and the life. I know its a sin na mamili ko ug religion, its like in an eat all u can buffet wherein mamili ka ug foods kung unsa lami kan-on. Based on my experience mas nindut magpray sa gabii na ikaw ra kaysa sa church, solemn jud ayu... im not trying to offend anybody or to convince them that they should try to do what im doing but i know some will agree with me kasi nga sa church dami temptation. when it comes to Bible, im not well versed pero i know what the Bible is and i know the old and new testaments are and the teachings God wanted us to follow. For me, im not confuse with what im doing, im not a saint but i am a good person. A lot of people loves me kasi buotan daw ko, hehe pero yun nga hindi ako saint kasi im a sinner and i admit. I know mas daghan matun an sa church kay naay pari BUT the temptations are there. tao lang po.

By the way, I did accept God as my saviour and Jesus Christ died for us to save us from hell. And i do repent my sin everytime i pray.

-to each his own. kasabot ko nimo but I hope that your choice of not attending mass or a protestant gathering or any Christian gathering for that matter is not an influence of your laziness (tapol) you have to admit that it would be a sin if mao na siya ang reason diba? unya imo lang gi justify with your other reasons.

Temptations abound inside the church and much more so outside. Nobody can escape temptation even when the person is all alone the temptation is there. So temptation could not be your reason in not attending any church.

Praying alone and from the heart is good in itself no doubt about it! But going to mass or attending a Christian gathering on top of your solitude prayers would be better diba? well thats my 2 cents...
