Internet over your home's electrical wires?

Have you guys heard of a router, that plugs to your homes electrical wiring, and channels internet through it, and at the receiving end all you need to do is plug a small adapter like looking box, then UTP patch chord from that box to your Desktop/laptop and your connected already? No more hassle of wiring and molding etc..

i think it is not possible because you cannot combine both data at electrical signal in one line...electrical signals can cause interference in data (may cause packet losses).

This is called BPL (Broadband over Power Line) and is in fact used already.
BPL feeds low-power radio signals over power lines.
A BPL modem plugs into a regular electrical outlet, receives the radio signals from power lines and converts them into a digital Internet connection.

I'm amazed at this knowledge. I've been thinking since the beginning of time about this concept coz judging man gud from the purpose of electric lines, they are made to carry electric signals.. so i've been wondering if they could have something like this of sorts.. to my surprise, naa na diay.. hehe... way to go..
