way gamit if u have over 2gb or above RAM in your system. those who will benefit are the ones using 1gb or below. you're better off with adding more RAM.

i tested this with an OCZ Rally2 USB drive. in a 2gb system, it even sometimes lag photoshop and vegas startups.

Sweet, im using it already, but I want to use the entire 8 gig permanently as extra ram, unfortunately it only allows you to use up to 4 gig, or somehow I just need to look for more settings

it wont be really an additional ram. it'll just be an isolated cache drive. so your frequently used apps or accessed files will be cached in advance for faster execution.

it only allows 4gb or cache for fat32 i think.

when i tried this before with currently 2GB RAM installed, no noticeable boost at all. This may be very helpful for user with 512MB-1GB of ram. Well, ReadyBoost is still in it's infancy and we may see some improvements or this option might disappear in the future since more people are getting 2GB of RAM nowadays plus affordable na pud karon.

physical extended RAMs inside our case is much faster than usb. =/

maybe 10 - 30 speed increase? not sure though

hhmmm.. because i am planning of getting 2X2GB paired RAM. but if i can boost my PC with my 8GB flash disk then maybe i'll just upgrade later and use my flash drive for now. hehehehe...

no noticeable difference on 2gb systems and up, those who will benefit are the systems using just a GB or below eg. 512mb. besides, it'll only let u use up to 4gb of your 8gb on a fat32 file system.

If you read what ready boost is about, its basically a virtual memory manager that runs on a USB, there will be ZERO benefit for this even on a 512mb system, why ? as usb drives read/write at 10~20mb/s as compared to modern harddrives at 60~108mb/s... kamo ramai gi elad aning ready boost.
