weird network/LAN card problem

i hope ur aware that u still have to configure it to ur network. settings, address, etc.
describing what u did with ur lan card would have been more helpful than ranting w/ expletives.

heh, sory about that.. just got too pissed at the moment..

yeah, i mean it is connected. the same story as the first page of this thread. :-/
didn't really have to do any setup, just connected the lan cable, it started connecting, and the little "2 screen" icons lit up..

i encountered this kind of a problem...its a sure sign that your lan card is failing...you said that your current lan card is built in, so just get a new one. attach the new card directly...you wont have any problems with your built in...or you can turn it off by going to you bios....i hope you solve your problem....

diman siguro bro ,as long dili parehas ug IRQ ,walay conflict....reformat balik try another OS installer...or chek kuno bro after kato first reformat nimo unsa mga software imo na install.. suggestyun .format balik nya ayaw sa pag install ug any software , try browsing or ping,,, gudlak

-check your physical connection. be sure nga a-ok and sakto ang setup
-try dns 4.2.2.2, 4.2.2.3. im having problems connecting to some sites karun sa pldt thats why im using these.
-check your bios for your internal lan adapter setup
-run cmd then do ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. which would be the same as enabling and disabling ur lan adapter.

EDIT: tried #3.. didn't touch anything, there were a lot of "IRQ reserved for PCI" stuff...

1. have you tried setting your "speed and duplex" to 10mbhalf?
2. you can also try another browser instead of IE.
3. make sure all firewalls/antiviruses are turned off - just in case lang.
4. nakasuway naka lain cable? kanang mas bag-o daw.
5. try OPEN DNS: 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220

ok, i re-read ur earlier posts and let's clarify some things here first.

1. noted, w/ ur new lan card the problem is still the same (even w/ fresh reformat)- w/c is u can go to some sites but not on others, right? questions: a.) what's ur browser? have u tried the other, IE or FF?
2. how are u connected now to ur modem? i suggest cable lang sa until ma sorted out na ang imo prob. and u said earlier na no prob sa isp and ur modem coz ur laptop work ok, right?
3. what's ur OS by the way? is ur anti-virus,etc. same sa desktop and laptop?
