I'm sorry giddy boy but I have to agree with cdburgh here, when you let out a litany to argue your point and end it with "as Cebuanos whose side are you on? " the AS in that phrase does not simply reword the title of the thread . Dili man sala sa nagbasa nga sayup ang conjunction nga imong gigamit. You may have intended it to mean as you explained but the wording as written was the basis for cdburgh's post. Well at least your clarified it.

u r correct. sayop akong conjunction nagamit. i don't have a lot of time to proof-read in detail each sentence i type...and i'm only human...anyways, clarified na ni...and i wanna thank u for spotting that mistake. i could've done better by phrasing it, "As a Cebuano, whose side are u?"

pero, mas maayo unta kung mas basahon nato ang unod sa arguments rather than finding fault in grammar. although a grammatical error could change the meaning of a msg differently, that "error" is not even significant to affect the entire point i wanted to convey...

anyways, back to the topic, more have voted for the "not proud" vote. i guess ang dako nga factor ani is GSIS...even w/ his noise at Meralco, wala pa gyud cguro nabawi pa ni Winston ang negative perception sa mga tawo sa iyaha regarding GSIS...

I did not mean to correct your grammar because as a Cebuano and a Filipino we are not expected to observe perfect grammar each and everytime. I was simply trying to point out what led cdburgh to believe that your last line was meant to persuade people to vote favorably based on Mr. Garcia's being a Cebuano. I hope that when we accept corrections like this we can be gracious in doing so.

yes, of course, my arguments clearly suggest to persuade people to vote favorably for W.Garcia. i was only pointing out the question that more & more people in Manila are thanking him for what he did to Meralco that in effect "opened their eyes", so it would be a good way to say also that mas mo dayeg pa unta ta niya what more nga fellow Cebuano man pud na cya, di ba? but anyway, as explained, that would not be the case always...what i wanted to correct cdburgh is his impression that i'm implying to "vote kung as ta region nga gikan". that's not my intention.

I did not imply only napocor, i said "napocor and other IPP's". I have part of my heart for napocor since i got to be part of napocor and trained with that company during the time they were breaking it to genco and transco and i was with transco.
anyways, take note also that i included in that post "luzon" because power in luzon is more expensive than in vismin, and maybe it cost them more to generate, that i could not explain so much.

Superficial, because of there timing (again and again). in case you haven't notice or you just refuse to... all this issues(take note its plural, this is just one of those.) are being brought up to derail the issue against this administration and guess what, they find they're way to the lopezes' again to get abs-cbn (labing cguro, aw cguro jud diay kay kapila na jud nila nga attemp).

BARKING the wrong tree, mayta si WG nagpa-investigate ana or kay dili man siya pwede maka request ana tingale kay dili siya senador, at least directly involve siya, remember he was only attacking( or to attack ba noun) meralco. and the senate investigation was brought only when the issue became hotter, enrile tried that many times before, he even used that plataporma de governo during election periods, wala lang ni prosper, and i hope this time they can do something about that. Then mao nani, apil na ang oposition block(dili ta ka blame nila, they're just waiting for the break or mayta ila gi-induce para masugdan nani nga issue ug debate and hopefully make reforms about it). Again find the root cause.

The actions i was implying to undermining Filipinos' was there way of derailing events through issues after issues/cover-ups after cover-ups of the real issue which was good governance. they're anomalies/cheating.. bla bla, name it they did it and they're good at it. and again nasad, the senate so and so is just part of the domino effect of their actions. and about the subsidy, you could not really define that as band-aid solution. what is 500 to your several thousands nga billing. mayta bayaran at least man lang one month bill sa meralco customers cgruo band-aid nana. and SAKTO ka, walay mamugos, MERALCO diay ato diri? analyze again. I'm not referring to myself.

As a cebuano and pinoy, dili kay he's been doing it for the right "accidental" reason with wrong intentions, I don't think hes intentions is really to decrease electricity cost of MERALCO customers but instead, he is only being used as one of the many attack dogs they have, dakua sad eroa oi, paka-uwaw lang sa mga bisaya. thats the sad part of it.

winston garcia has been judging the lopez about their poor strategic management in MERALCO...
he always claim that the lopez are taking advantage in manipulating the electric bill of the people...
he always accuse the lopez of not having concern of its consumer`s sake but only in the lopez business interest...
he said the ERC are protecting the lopez....
his greatest concern is that the MERALCO and the ERC are not giving him copies of its book ..( i forgot what is it)...

let`s not forget guyz, PRES. ARROYO had a big million lead in terms of votes against her counterpart during the election in CEBU...
let`s not forget that the GARCIAS has a great capability in influencing the cebuanos specially by manipulating them in the election...

let`s not forget that ABS-CBN is a sister company of MERALCO and this news company has always been attacking not only the govt. but everyone who have a corrupting issue in the country...
and, WINSTON GARCIA is the president of the GSIS which is a government agency...

gikan sa GSIS na sir. investment na sa GSIS. mao nang any concerns regarding meralco, GSIS has a big stake in it. and it is the job of the GSIS president to protect the interests of GSIS and in effect the people.

W.Garcia is attacking the Meralco management coz he sees that this company is abusing their customers via:
(1) Overcharging their customers via excessive systems loss charge that went more than 10%.
(2) Passing on to customers their employee's lifetime pension and possibly also their freebies.
(3) Questionable payments in billions to First Gas (a Lopez-owned firm)
(4) Non-refund of their customers' meter deposits (if im not mistaken, since 2001 pa ni)
(5) Inefficiency and non-transparency of management (let's not forget that the incumbent Meralco president doesn't even have a background on electrification. let's not forget that Meralco has more managers than their rank-and-file. Let's not forget that Meralco refused to open the books for GSIS)
(6) and others being deliberated sa Joint Senate Commission

these allegations are almost true and factual..."almost" ky some are still being investigated while some are already confirmed true.

Winston is not stopping the Lopezes unless the Meralco customers gets what they duly deserve- Lower rates and refund for their deposits...

heck, he even accused ERC (chaired by Angelo Reyes) of siding w/ the Lopezes. so let's calm down on the political affiliation issue. THE ISSUE HERE IS MERALCO ABUSING THEIR CUSTOMERS...
