farad is the total capacity of the the capacitor. the higher the farad the bigger the capacity/storage for electricity. according to 12volt.com for every 1000watt system you must have 1 farad capacitor.
eg. 1 1000watt amp = 1 farad cap. 2 1000watt amp = 2 farad. the bigger the better.
and capacitor does not protect your batt. it simple stores electricity to feed the need of your sound syst.
so kung kulang imu alternator or gamay, no use lang gyon imu cap. kay dli ka sugakud ang alt sa pag supply sa batt and sa cap.

add nalang mga experts kung naa kulang...

300-600watts 6x9 or 6.5's? are you going to run it off your headunit or amp? If you're just going to run them off the headunit then it's useless to get 300-600watt speakers cuz your headunit only puts out like 20 watts per channel
