uhmm...i assume in order for me to get the credit card statement, i need to use my card? I received notification from PAYPAL stating this:

I opened the above link and provided the information. Afterwards, I received this:

Your card has been linked to your PayPal account - now you just need to confirm it. Here's how:
Your card ending in xxxx has been charged $1.95 USD on Jun. 2, 2008.


Check your card statement in 2-3 days and find the 4-digit PayPal code for the charge.


Return to PayPal and enter the 4-digit code to confirm your credit card.

if you haven't given your 3-number security codes, matabang pa na imung case..just call your bank immediately.. and inform them about what happened..

it's very easy to tell if an email is a legit email from Paypal.. when you receive the email, just mouse over on the link they give..if you see a different domain name appearing on the status bar other than www.paypal.com, it's definitely a scam..

i was so dumb! I have only realized that it was really a scam when my hubby asked me to check on the email ad of the sender..it wasn't from Paypal..

I was not in doubt when i received the first letter since it really is from paypal..i mean..with all the link and everything..only that the sender wasn't really from paypal at all..

I hope no other individuals would be careless with their personal info as i was. GUess that some lessons are learned the hard way..huhu..

la pa dyud ni nako g-use ang card coz g-disciplina dyud mi sa akong father not to be dependent on credit cards dyud..gtagaan mi ug extension sa iyang Citibank na card but then iyang gpa-cancel dyud kay dili dyud xa nahn..now, na biktima nuon ko..so naive of me..huhu

whew!! just coordinated with my bank and the old number is now blocked. thanks to the two istoryan members who said that its a scam..it was only then i started having doubts.. thanks so much!!!
