bai naa mo idea unsaonz pag format sa Linux na O.S?? dili lageh ma format kung xp na bootable akoa gamit

Testingi kuno bai nga i dungan ug reset switch then load your bootable disk.

try pangita og bootable sa windows 98..
go to its DOS mode, command line..
Use the program, FDISK.exe

it can add/remove partition with DOS environment.

or find a 3rd party program na maka boot through DOS nya ma-remove ang Partition sa linux. Lahi man gud na sila'g partition mao di na xa madetect sa Windows.

Should be unpartitioned disk space or fat32,ntfs xa to be able to install Windows XP

la pa ko a encounter dli ma format from a linux distro (ubuntu, mandrake, red hat)

try deleting the partition then repartition before formating...

@threadstarter... So you set the cd/dvdrom as 1st boot... Did you insert a bootable DVD/CD and press "press any key to boot from cd/dvd"?

because after the time limit (if there is no bootable media it will continue to the other boot list) gl

murag kani na experience ka experience pud ko ani. deli mo boot ang bootable disk.
1 factor ana jud sa maski imo na gi set sa bios ang 1st boot is your dvd rom/ cdrom
and imong disk is deli bootable it could be also ang disc imong pc deli compatible sa gi install
na OS like vista memory consumable kaau og Bug-at or imong bootable gubaon na siya. if gubaan
try daw sa lain na pc para ma test jud...

Use the following Linux based disk management Live CD's (bootable CD's):
Gparted
PartedMagic (recommended)

They can delete, create, format, extend, contract partitions, etc. etc. for different file systems such as NTFS, FAT32, ext3, ext2, reiserfs among others.

Come in handy as maintainance/troubleshooting tools too.
