be also misconfiguration on your network for RTP traffic, try replacing your phones with a ping-capable devices and ping
each other. if ping works, p2p mode should also work. however, you need to carefully look at the asterisk. its basically a
b2bua, all RTP traffic goes through it. so maybe the RTP made it from the phone to asterisk, but lost when it was routed
from asterisk to phone.
the cost of setup mainly a depends on your use, but i don't think it will be a problem. also you can have my services
