Siquijor: La Isla del Fuego

I am not sure whether it was shown on TV.

My job in that doc was only as film editor. It was done by another company. And, oh yes, Siquijor was known in the olden days as Isla del Fuego or Island of Fire, correctly so, because of the abundant fireflies. The doc also dwelt in that for quite a time. Then there was also bolo-bolo which you may want to try for some exotic relief to your colds, asthma, etc.

me neither.. but if memory serves me right, it was on gma 7, had the same title, the mystical island something.. it was a good doc film but was rather short.

actually my parents are both from siq and yup ive heard of bolo-bolo, even got to try it to my lola's insistence, but mmmm i dont think it works hehe

Next time I have the opportunity to do film or video on Siquijor, I will see to it it will be its caves and waterfalls as supertars and that lonely but lovely Salagdoong enclave.

travel is from cebu to larena siquijor ..

In good faith --- that you asked what I do to satisfy your curiousity --- I am one person quite stretched out in the film business, both documentary and features. At any time, I can be a screenplay writer (e.g Hello Soldier) or film/video editor (e.g. Siquijor: The Mystic Island) or director (e.g. soon to be released Nagbreakfast ka na Ba?). I also have screened internationally, launched the career of teen actor Jacqui Estevez and seen the world not normally seen by ordinary eyes.

Right now, I am on R&R but will soon assume the position of production manager of an international film outfit shooting in the Philippines and starring some big fish in the industry (I'm in a non-disclosure agreement to mention details of this coming production) The pay, in all these? Well, not bad. Plus a lot of coffee and daughnut at exactly the time you need them.
