Planing to have a AMD 64 system.. need some opinions and suggestions...

i was just wondering if you can help me.. im planing to get a AMD 64 system, but im just going for a budget system and i was wondering if you guys could help me decide with would be more better.
this is the specs ive got so far..

AMD athlon 64 2800+
Epox 8KDA3J
Asus ATI Radeon A70000SE 64mb
256 DDR400 twinmos
DVD+-RW LG 16X

ill use this system for java programming, the usual cd/dvd writing and a little bit of gaming like GTA: San Andreas...

hmm your specs is fine, but change the video card to something higher, btw we almost have the same specs except the vcard

why not go for a AMD athlon 64 3000+ da price is not a real big difference
but if ur already on da limit on ur buget
say wat darkwing just said,...... just change ur v-card to something alil' higher or atleast 128MB

Everything is fine with your chose setup, except your video card. If you want GTA:SA to run smoothly, go for at least a 9600 XT or higher.

nope.. its socket 754 i think so... really? how much wud be the diffrence nd in wat store? i looked at it in their site...

ay Vino Kid ,... datz a good suggestion to,..... coz da latest AMD CPU uses socket 939,...

but its up to him if he wants to get a socket 939 motherboard and spend da money,.... (da prices well go up,.... and he has a budget)

how much is da cheapest 939 motherboard right now and wat brand

+1 on getting a socket 939 chip. I've been waitng for the Venice core to be available here in Cebu wa pa man. dugaya. Checked Newegg.com and sige na man sila pamaligya. Maybe gi himo ra ta dumping ground sa older processors nila.
