Murag mas kalas man siguro gyud og gas if more revs kay kusog mubuga og gasoline. Based on my experience, i changed my driving style karun due to constant increase of gasoline. I usually shift to a higher gear even if ubos pa kaayo akong revs. Makaabot gud kog 5th gear na even at 40kmh. And because my rev is too low, akong temperature doesn't rise so easily. Before sakong drinayban, 1:7.9kms ko but karun na sayo kaayo ko mushift og gear (therefore, low rev always), nag 1:8.4kms ko run. Gamay ra pud nuon kaayog difference. Asa na nimo nakuha if the higher the rev, mas economiya na nuon?

when you say low rev unsa na xa ka low? try googling gas saving tips. and i did not say high revs, kalas jud na xa ug gas. as iv said 2k - 2.5k ang pag change sa gears. dont you think kaya sa imu engine ang padagan sa auto kung stress au xa? i mean kulangan xa ug gas to put out power to move your car...

i dont know how low kay wala koy rpm. Makaya gihapon ang pagmove sa car oi even at low rev (provided dil lang dili musaka og elevated places) kay magstart na gud na daan from first gear para pag arangkada lang. But i can say it's very low 'coz if mag ulan, sakong driving style run, dili gani kasaka akong temperature guage (well i put coolant pud nuon). If dili mag ulan, dugay kaayo musaka and if musaka man gali, gamay ra kaayog saka akong temp. Compared before na dali ra kaayo musaka akong temp but to a normal level ra pud kutob. This experience is also applicable to a taxi driver pud whom i once met a long time ago. Surprise daw ubang taxi drivers sa iyaha coz he can achieve 1:15 sa iyang consumption for an xe toyota man siguro tu while the others can't, igo ra sila makabreak even sa ilang kita due to constant gasoline increase. I noticed that he shifted to a higher gear very quickly man that's why i asked him.

I think lower pa siguro gyud ko anang 2k-2.5k rpm kay mafeel man gyud nako ang kaubos sa rev. As in early early kaayo ko muchange gear gyud. Try applying it to your car then compute the gas consumption for actual comparison. Pagshift og gear very early compared to your normal driving.

With a manual transmission, you want to stay in the highest numeric gear possible without lugging the engine to get the best fuel mileage. An example of lugging the engine would be putting it in fifth gear at 10 mph; you may be giving it a decent amount of throttle, but chances are you won’t be accelerating quickly, and the engine may buck and struggle to move the vehicle. Lugging the engine is not good for mileage, among other “not goods,” including for the engine if done long enough.

In my case, of course i won't shift it to a high gear in which it could hardly move my car. That's already understood. But i would say that my driving style (shifting early to the next gear) right now is quite different from before and the normal driving of the people around. But i even tried putting it in the 5th gear at 30kmh something but not consistently, maybe at 40kmh. Normally, people don't shift it to 5th gear at 40kmh, it's more than the speed of that when they shift to the 5th gear already. That's why i made a comparison that driving at low rev is more economical than the high ones. Well, you could try it on your own and notice the comparison. On my part, i would rather based it on actual experiences rather than theory.

The exact figure depends on the engine but is typically the speed at which it produces the greatest torque output. For economy's sake, it's generally wise to remain below 3,000 rpm most of the time and to shift into the next gear before the engine gets much beyond its optimum rpm level. Too low an engine speed does nothing for your finances, so running below 1,500 isn't ordinarily a good idea.

well what im trying to say is too low of a rev is not good and too high definitly not good, it should be optimal to your engine,

You said earlier that it's better between 2k-2.5k for the rpm to stay in between and not 1.5k. So how would you explain that i achieved a more economical consumption based on my experience and the experience of the taxi driver?
