^^ it happens in your hospitals, the people just dont know of it. kadaghan na ko kadungog ug mga endorsements sa nurses na iapil ang personal life sa patient ug endorse. sakto ba nah? unya pila ka taw ang muagi sa station unya chismisan lang ang patient. that is dehumanizing and beyond our code of ethics. madamay lang ang magtinarong na health care professionals ana. take for example an aids patient, iapil bah ang speculations why the patient contracted such. asa naman ang confidentiality and maturity.

Bilib ko kung matangtangan ug licensya ang mga doctors, but i think not for these reasons

i dunno if "grave misconduct" as serious as that case could revoke their licenses. they should have treated the patient as a rape victim. they should have considered the already embarassing situation of Jan2x ug wala nila samoti by not limiting the number of osyoso staff inside the OR, not banning cameras, and, not reminding the whole staff the sensitive and delicate situation they are in...

1] The government needs these doctors. However unprofessional they may be, they obviously were not incompetent.

they were unprofessional and unethical, that is. and that could make them incompetent in some ways.
obviously the gov't still NEEDS them, but not WANT people like them...

2] Majority of the people are still homophobic. Possibly even the people who will hear this case.

that's is a glittering generality my friend. there's no numbers to back up your observation. and even if we say that is true, unsa may labot anang pgka homophobic sa kaso? u mean ma-biased? let's get real sab oi...

3] These doctors somehow come from influential if not prominent families, so they are more "connected" than JanJan. And in this country, that counts a lot.

well, the "media" is far more influential than any prominent family we can think of here. these prominent doctors even don't stand a chance to CHR, LADLAD and the Ombud.

4] JanJan is a nobody who intentionally put himself in that circumstance regardless of sexual orientation. Just like a prostitute crying rape.

being a nobody is what made him a big somebody in this case. and no, he is not like a prosti crying rape. he is instead a "customer" crying rape.

The numbers are really not with JanJan despite what happened to him. I am just being realistic.

that is the most "unrealistic" statement i heard so far. didn't u follow the news? even DOH and the Ombud are already giving administrative sanctions. not to mention LADLAD, Dave Tumulak, and others in sympathy for Jan2x. those are the numbers...

Personally, I think JanJan is a liar and not a saint himself. I don't believe that the callboy inserted the canister while he was unconscious. I mean what is the motive and what are the chances? Motuo pa tingali ko that it was done with his consent and eventually became unconscious. Then probably the callboy panicked and left him bitter and cold.

well, that speculation will remain a speculation unless we get facts that it was self intentional. as of now, we just have to take Jan2x's word for that matter. he is the victim, not the perpetrator.

With these being said, for me, regardless of his sexual orientation he was ridiculed at not primarily because he was gay but because of his LUSTFUL STUPIDITY and now he wants 6 MILLION PESOS? For me, he doesn't deserve jack. Let the courts find and the media feast on that guy who stuffed him first, before they even condemn these doctors.

But then again that callboy is a nobody therefore the media is not interested in him. If that is the way things are perceived, then let these doctors use their influences as well because it is also their prerogative to do so.

anyhow, what we should focus here is the issue of "what happened in the OR", not "what happened before Jan2x was hospitalized"...

Regarding point no. 1, i tend to disagree with that. Remember the election is almost up so whatever is favorable for the majority is more considerable for those of the higher position. And the majority sympathizes with JanJAn.

And about No.4, you have no right to judge anyone. Especially if you don't the know him/her personally.

DISRESPECTING and being UNETHICAL and UNPROFFESIONAL to patients doesnt have to be a patient that is similar to JANJAN . It could be anything else other than retrieving a canister out of his anus .

There is more weight in prosecuting the DOCTORS and STAFF because they are supposed to be " HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS" and sama sa sulti ni LYTSLPR , si JANJAN walay dungog much more sa katong ga paslak atong canister .
