    this information is incorrect. though there are catholics that worship saints, those are not sanctioned by the RC church. whoever told you na i-worship an relics sa saint must have a poor foundation on his faith. saints are venerated, not worshiped.

    so, before you make any heavy accusations, know the hard facts first.

    this is called relic-worship, rcruman. while the catholic church's official stand is against it, but sad to say, there are still many who venerate a saint, a saint's relic, or a sacred object. i don't know, maybe it gives them a sense of power or well-being. while they may still insist that their focus is upon God Himself, they still can't deny giving their whole-hearted devotion to a statue.

    veneration and worship are two different things. the catholic church's official stand is not against veneration of saints, but rather, it is against the WORSHIP of saints.

    true for the intellectuals but for the multitude, there is only a hair-line of a difference between the two.
