i think we should diffirentiate a "government" from the "system". pwede mao ra ang system pero lain-lain ang porma sa govt. pananglitan, sa capitalism naay presidential, parliamentary, parliamentary-monarchial...

communism is a social system as well as capitalism.

communism is a social system as well as capitalism.
ma demokrasya o komunista, naay kapitalismo.

so why not bring this topic about CAPITALISM nlng?

    per wiki,

Capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of inalienable rights in which people are free to produce and trade and thus precondition an economic system in which all property is privately owned[1][2] and operated for profit,[3] and in which investments, distribution, income, production and pricing of goods and services are determined through the operation of a market economy. It is usually considered to involve the right of individuals and corporations to trade, using money, in goods, services (including finance), labor and land.

    Criticism

Capitalism has met with strong opposition throughout its history. Most of the criticism came from the left, but some from the right, and some from religious elements. Many 19th century conservatives were among the most strident critics of capitalism, seeing market exchange and commodity production as threats to cultural and religious traditions. Some critics of capitalism consider economic regulation necessary in order to reduce corruption, negligence, and numerous of other problems caused by free markets.

Prominent leftist critics have included socialists like Karl Marx, Frantz Fanon, Vladimir Lenin, Mao Zedong, Leon Trotsky, Antonio Gramsci and Rosa Luxemburg, and anarchists including Benjamin Tucker, Lysander Spooner, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, Mikhail Bakunin, Peter Kropotkin, Emma Goldman, Murray Bookchin, Rudolf Rocker, Noam Chomsky, and others. Movements like the Luddites, Narodniks, Shakers, Utopian Socialists and others have opposed capitalism for various reasons.

Some religions criticize or outright oppose specific elements of capitalism. Some traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam forbid lending money at interest, although methods of Islamic banking have been developed. Christianity has been a source of both praise and criticism for capitalism, particularly its materialist aspects.

you distort the real meaning of capitalism my friend....

capitalism is a social system based on wage-slavery, extraction of surplus-value from the labor power of the workers, for profit. capitalism is a system absolutely dominated by commodity production and by profits. that is why capitalism is fundmanetally different from the previous social systems like slavery and feudalism...

if you are a SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS worker kahadlokan gyud nimo ang kapitalismo. pero kon kapitalista ka o nanagambisyon nga mahimong kapitalista, kahadlokan gyud nimo ang komunismo.

but if you are still reflecting what is happening and where to go.... you better know the situation of the BIG MAJORITY of workers around the world ug sabtaon ang ilang history... pananglitan, boluntaryo ba nga gihatag sa mga kapitalista ang 8-hour working day niadtong 19th century? nganong gi-suppress pa man nila ang mga workers kaniadto nga nangayo og 8-hour working day?

nganong daghan man karon mga kapitalista wala naghatag og minimum wage ug overtime pay?

SAYOP gyud ka sa imong pagsabot nga sa komunismo naay kapitalismo my friend....

Namention na ba ang term nga means of production in this thread? Knowing all about the concept of "means of production" is the key to understanding why the ideologies of Capitalism and Communism clash.

The political economy that Marx set out to criticize has already change so much since it arrived on the shores of our time.

QUESTION: How did the Chicago Incident change his idea in "the working day" in his das kapital (this of course refers to the extension of the working day of laborer in order for the capitalist to produce a surplus value, which was mentioned in this thread)?

then what can u say about China or N. Korea for example? they're communist countries practicing capitalism at the same time.

I know that these 2 countries have somehow evolved over time to post-modernism, but what other "existing" communist countries can we talk and compare about man diay? Russia? mao2x ra gihapon story.

besides, come to think of it, workers in China halos pareha (or worse) kung ikompara sa kahimtang sa workers dre sa Pinas...

at least dire sa Pinas mka rally ug yaw2x ka. did2 paksit ka.

and i beg to disagree to what u said, "if socially conscious worker, kahadlokan ang kapitalismo".

IF I'M A WORKER, i am conscious about my worker's rights but at the same time conscious about my supervisor's rights, even the owner's rights. To add, I will be grateful that i am given an opportunity for mutual benefits. Benefit for the owner for the job or service u rendered. Benefit for the worker for the salary u earned. THAT'S MUTUAL BENEFIT my friend, not slavery. Slavery is only one-way. Worse, no pay.

    No capitalist, no job.

First, one has to look up (and seriously study the concept of) "means of production" ...

...then hopefully you will learn why other people feel as if this whole scheme of existence the entire world is based upon right this very moment, is simply wrong or unjust.
