The $ 2 million dollar blade was one I saw on National Geographic, the smith is the descendant of a long line of swordsmiths who forged swords way back during the bakumatsu days.

according to NatGeo, he is the only known smith in japan who forges swords the authentic katana smith way, with the sword being razor sharp and the blade having over 2,000 layers of steel, with the whole process taking almost half a year to complete.

his equipment was featured as well, no modern equipment, everything is old-school, which is why one sword can reach up to $ 2 million.

again his sword is authentic, and is as razor sharp as the ones you read about. and this is not from some tabloid, it's national geographic.

but i'd settle for cosplay-sama's swords. will PM you.

i'm just interested in buying a sword. i am no expert when it comes to parts materials, forging style and whatnot. i just want something like the one in the pic i quoted.
