Why Cebuanos dislike Manileños?

manileños have this tendency to show authority like they're the boss of the philippines. and they have this concept that manila is the philippines.

well i dont hate them all, but some of them do look down on bisayas.

like last march, i was in a restaurant at the mall of asia. i looked over their menu and decided not to eat there, though i decided to do so "respectfully." as i was walking out, i heard the waiter say to another waiter, "mga bisaya!" and they both chuckled. hmmm

and at greenbelt 5, i was asking for directions from a guard, same thing happened. after i was a few feet away from him i heard him whisper to himself, "bisaya pala"

so what's wrong with being bisaya? maybe because a lot of household helps there come from the visayas? and i'm not saying that i too am looking down on their jobs in general, but, a freekin guard and waiter looking down on me and my girlfriend because were "bisaya" like their maids??[br]Posted on: May 09, 2008, 10:23:38 AM_________________________________________________m aybe i should have gone bisaya on their asses and do a lapulapu to them! heheh

ingon gani toh ang taga front desk sa asa ko nag stay na kung sakay daw ko taxi, di lang daw kuno magtabi. kay naa daw mga taxi drivers kusog kaayo mangilad ug mga bisaya. kay abi sa mga uban driver, ignorante daw ta hehehe
