what do you mean na files?.. usually some programs/applications; but not the files na wala nimo nainstall it will remain the same...

ussually if you come to think about system restore, it's all about restoring the last configuration settings of your computer so meaning to say it has nothing to do with removing files on your harddrive and one thing more... if you happen to encounter rontokbro worm, definitely system restore is not effective as you think it is. Coz the nature of the worm virus is like a data file that would likely write just once and replicates itself in your harddrive depending on the folder or drive that you openned.

this kind of virus is due to portable media drives such as FLASH DRIVES, card reader, etc. that are usualy used with multiple PCs
usually kani nga mga virus kai di kaau madetect sa mga AV programs.

best thing to do jud ani kai FORMAT.
and one thing. this virus resides on every folder on ur HD.
ing-ani ni xa:
*naive ra ni nga mga folders, say for example u go inside the folder MY PICTUREs. inside it u will see another MY PICTUREs folder. once u open this folder it will render the virus to run and this would disable the TASK MNGR, REGISTRY, and FOLDER OPTIONS.
*so dapat jud bantayan ni xa nga mga folders nga mura rag wala. u'll get naive with this folders kai pareha man gud xa ngalan sa root folder nga imo gi-abrihan. kanang ma curios ka ba ngano naa ni xa nga folder. click lang daun ka. then! BOOM!

kung mag format ka sa imo PC. make sure nga ang imo back-up files wala gadala sa mga virus.
good thing to do to back up is have them on DVDs.

BUT... a big but, this process takes a long, hardous work. but it will definitely work.
and one good advice is to make sure after you format ur PC is to install all programs that u think that would be really useful. and after that create a RESTORE POINT so that in case it attacks again you could just do a SYSTEM RESTORE.
