you forgot to mention that you cant edit registry in vista. but still, i prefer vista. and besides, the more memory you have the better.

No virus? You must be dreaming. Just check secunia for solaris...

Vista is a quiet secure OS, but the PEOPLE are the culprit, NOT the OS.
If people would run Vista under limited user account (what you usually do under *nix too), and not disable all the security features like UAC etc., people would have less issues.
But they start playing with the registry, disabling UAC, running always under admin account...

ya your right kung magtinanga ang user syempre naman.....
i use linux pero bilib gihapon ko sa vista atleast nakahimo ang M$ og bago nga OS mas labaw pa sa XP bisag binata ra ang fx sa desktop compare sa akong ubuntu....polished na man pod ang icons tabs and etc.....

kadto sa mga nangreklamo hinay ang vista blahblahblah compare sa linux wa man pod cguro pagustohi ang specs sa vista mao ingana or gikolokot og maayo...
prepare lang ug budget para sa vista kay mangayo man gyud na og bahin...more memory sakto sa videocard and etc.....it takes another 3yrs cguro para parehas na sa xp nga wala na kaayo BSOD
