Every HD maker is going to make solid drives. Anyone ever heard of fake drives from China? Thats right, anyone who makes drives needs the money to make it and they aren't going to make sub-par drives just to make money. Individual models and manufacturing batches will sometimes vary in quality though.

Just because one's experience may have been bad doesn't mean others have had the same experience. I've personally never had an HD fail on my personal computers since my 540MB Seagate died on me ... and it last for years. You should base your decisions on warranty, tech support, and performance of individual drive models.

tumpak si vern. diha lamang ang seagate coz they got 5 years warranty compared to Western's only 3 years. not sure if that changed though.
