Dili magpatuga tuga ug debate kung walay facilitator and ignorante sa mga rules of proper debate.

Maypa mag organize mo'g seminars about conserving our natural resources / recycling / daghan pa makaayo sa atong kainayahan.

thank you , pnoize, hope nga ma-realize.

Yes, an OUTING and a DEBATE is very okey. alegre jud na.

okay man sad na siya, pero lahi sad na nga siya activity. nganong limitahan man nato ang atong actitivities, nga lain-lain man ang atong makat-unan matag kalihokan?

Okay, seems to me like some members want to organize events BUT not one of them has ever been materialized yet. We actually challenge members to facilitate their suggested events as so you know Admins and Moderators are often busy with family or work. I don't have anything against these events, the more members initiate the better. Thumbs up to whoever materializes this suggestion.

If a formulation of an even like this would likely happen, what will the form be? Informalism? or we do the parliamentary form of debates?

do we have to make it so formal like a high school debate?! complete with the four parts of necessity, practicability, benevolency and then the rebuttal?

I suggest we keep it informal yet polite... without cheering crowds... kind of like the debates they have in NHK...

Of course, all participants should be screened...

Debate in the flesh is most welcome. And, in the Korean style of democratic exercise, we all can square it off at the end of the day.
blongkoy,Â* can you organize a group to hold public or "face-to-face"Â* debates and discussions for istoryans?

    la_gnostic,

I love to see your proposal materialized. But I cannot organize it these days and for some times yet to come. In my search for good food on the table, I am always out of town and I do not want to hold this important activity hostage to my wanderings.

But if you can find a way to realize this proposal, please count my support and participation.

For support --- I can have modest logistics moved in plus buy something to nibble while the debaters are showing their prowess in the art.

For participation --- I can possibly formulate the rules based on fundamentals of the art of argumentation and submit to a larger group for criticism and finalization.

If you have the schedule, please inform me about it much ahead of time so that I can block it in.

I just got back late last night and will be leaving again in a day or two (I am now on assignment to do a story for an independent channel on "what the revolutionaries at the turn of the century [19th century] ate during their time [food documentation]; then a feature narrative project is held pending, in the meantime.)
