The Outpost would like to extend our warmest thank you's to everyone who made the event a successful one. The turnout was way much more than we expected. It just goes to show that a lot of people do care about Mother Earth, in one way or another.
Thank you to Greenpeace Cebu for participating even at such a short notice, especially to Ms. Gelena for taking the time to speak about the advocacy of the org. By the way, they will have an activity this Sunday (April 27) in Busay. Everybody is invited to join.
Thank you also for the other speakers like Mr. Godfrey Jakosalem of the Cebu Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc. and Mr. Russ Pascual, who talked about the present situation of our forests and seas. And SM even sent someone to talk about their Trash for Cash advocacy that they hold every 1st Saturday of every month, where companies tie up with them to buy out trash and junk, like used paper, used car batteries, electronic stuff, and more.
Of course, thank you also to Habagat and the boys from Vertigo for setting up the climbing wall. And to Ms. Nadine and Ms. Doogie for setting up the garage sale, and also to Habagat again for participating in the garage sale.
Thanks to the bands for their great performances; Bandera, Hawak Sa Tun-og, Juress, Zero Delay, Smugglah Riddims, and Hardwood.
Thank you to Mr. Paul Walker and Monster Radio for helping us promote the event, and for the hosts, Karen and Vince, that set the flow of the night.
And also to Bite Magazine for covering the event, and ms. Giselle for taking pictures.
Thank you also to Bike 4 U, Jump-Off Point, and Outdoor Perspective for their help and participation also.
And most of all, thank you to everyone who went there on a Tuesday night, and stayed late, even if they still have work or classes the following day.
