OSX 10.5 is made for apple only hardware. The drivers included in the OSX corresponds to apple devices only. Like the Battery firmware, Power Management Controler, PRAM, the trackpad special functions, exhaust fan control and of course keyboards are different if you compare a laptop to any macbook/ibook. My guess is that hackintosh' job is to emulate drivers of the Laptop(PC) to the OSX.
But if your talking about windows XP or Vista running on mac hardware there's no problem at all its officially supported by apple.

With updates pa? 10.5.2? Anyway the OSX update server aren't gonna really check the legitimacy. Could be hackintosh already had emulated drivers built in. And there are quite similarities in an intel based mac compared to a PC.

We aren't stupid. If we see people abusing any discussion because of technicalities, they will get moderated.

Yes, Apple now runs in intel Hardware... but it is just exclusive to Apple Products itself... To make MAC OSX run to some Intel Hardware on PCs... Hackintosh was born... Hacked by some guy... when OS X was still at version 10.4.1.....

Well, It did started as a Emulator via VMware... pero karon... I'm 100% sure that it's NOT an emulator... gi port jud sa mga hackers for native install on some intel hardware sa PCs. Ang problema lang kay, canvas jud ka ug compatible hardware... kay hasol kaayo ug install basta dili compatible, ma pugos ka ug kat-on ug Unix commands to make fixes para lang mo load ang imong drivers... so... "TRIAL AND ERROR" style.....

i have tried this. ok raman pero not all drivers ma recognize niya. i suggest you use a well known hardware to have the osx software recognize the driver. eg lancard - 3COM, soundcard - Creative, etc.....
