    This is the second time David West played in the post season, the first was during the 2003-04 season where New Orleans was still in the East and lost to the Miami Heat in the first round, 3-4. It was the Hornets' last season in the East. West never played for any team in the NBA other than the Hornets.

    New Orleans Hornets playoffs experience:

    Chris Andersen -> 5 games, all with Denver
    Hilton Armstrong -> 0 games
    Ryan Bowen -> 11 games. 4 with Denver, 7 with Houston
    Rasual Butler -> 22 games, all with Miami
    Tyson Chandler -> 12 games, all with Chicago
    Melvin Ely -> 0 games
    Mike James -> 29 games. 22 with Detroit, 7 with Houston
    Jannero Pargo -> 21 games. 11 with the L.A. Lakers, 10 with Chicago
    Chris Paul -> 0 games
    Morris Peterson -> 19 games, all with Toronto
    Peja Stojakovic -> 59 games. 55 with Sacramento and 4 with Indiana
    Bonzi Wells -> 40 games. 24 with Portland, 10 with Memphis, and 6 with Sacramento
    David West -> 7 games, all with New Orleans
    Julian Wright -> 0 games

    Q&A with Hawks coach Mike Woodson:

    Q. Do you envision any way in which you and [Hawks general manager] Billy Knight both return in the same capacity next season and lead this franchise and team, respectively?

    A. That's hard to say. It's hard to say. I don't know. But I will say this, as soon as we win the title this year, we're going to sit down and discuss it. I promise you that.

    Wow. I guess the "as soon as we win the title..." sounds a whole lot better than "after we get swept by the Celtics..."

    "Uh, did I say that right?"
