IP To Country

Good day!

I would like to know if is it possible to determine the country based from the IP address of the user that recently viewed the page?
Is there any reliable database for that? Or can we do that logically inside our codes without a database?

I m using a database for that, but its not perfect... i still have to add from time to time IP addresses by hand...
