FYI: Yes, SMB is an international brand, but is not really as successful as you think. It's not really selling well in foreign countries. This commercial is solely intended to attract young customers and widen its market esp in HongKong (SMB HK had Stephen Chow do a commercial too, kung-fu hustle period), and SMB was willing to pay the big bucks. The competition there is just ridiculous. Almost all brands are there + bestselling local brands tsing tao and a certain yan jing(?).
They had to taunt Jet Li with wads of cash before he could ever come close to agreeing.
