Default Re: kadungog namo aning so called 'Tambaloslos'

According to myself... of what i have learned. All this black creatures or whatever u called them. They will onli appear if their powers are strong. If it is weak.... magpa feel ra na xa. So meaning... kung magpa feel lang cla ninyo humana ug gamit ilang powers sa uban tao. But they have to charge their powers back again. When they are charging thier powers, dili pa cla mang hilabot. But i want to see one of them though... But when i was a little child... I never saw of them even once.... even we always go to badian. Because my lola is living thier and we are always planing a vacation there. Basta mangadto mi kay mu agi man jud mi ana ug mga mangrove... as in many many jud.. even gabi.i. Pero wala jud koy makita bisag usa... haw ra.. heheh.

Tambaloslos... yeah a very familliar word. Its a common scare given to childrens diri sa amoa. Kids in our place are asked to take a nap at noontime and if they dont?

are you familliar with the saying?

"tulog na kay na! hala ka! kan-on ka sa tambaloslos gyud."

yeah i myself experienced that when i was a child, yet when I grew older was the time I really learned the stories behind those so called creatures. whenever i open that topic to them. My grandparents on both sides and the elders in my towns, they do not deny the fact that there is, actually historians here doesn't even deny their existence. As what they have told, they are small mythical creatures usually in tribes or pacts. They live in a place near to waters "Sapa" and as much as possible, away from civilization. Thats why here in our place, whenever we get near a small peacful creek we always say "tabi, tabi" because if you don't and you accidentally disturb them "buyagan ka nila" your skin will turn red, swells and it is very itchy and only a witch doctor can cure you. They live in small river creeks that is abundant in shells "suso" and fishes "pantat" and "tilapia" etc.., they spend their afternoons breaking shells using pebble stones in the water, the elders testify that the most common time they appear is on afternoons for it is their feeding time. Udto ni sila mang gawas, mao gi tawag sad sila ug udto-udtohan. Thats why adults use the scare for children to sleep on afternoons or the tambaloslos might get them. And yes they said they have unusual big mouths. I haven't talked to them more details because they changed the topic for a more interesting mythical creatures called the "Tud-tod", their race is simillar to the "tambaloslos" the only thing is that they carry small golden hammers, and if you steal it to them. They will haunt you forever untill you return it to them. I will be opening this topic to my grands. Im sure they have alot to tell me.

Just posting in this thread gives me the goosebumps..
