You are wrong my friend. The Kingdom of Mirkwood (read as Murk-wood; meaning: murky wood) is ruled by the Elven-king named Thranduil (the father of Legolas). It is divided into three regions namely: Emyn Duir, Forest River and it's capital, the Caverns of Thranduil (named after their King). It's ethnicity is plainly elves with majority of silvan elves. Others are Nandor and Sindar.

The Caradhas, however, is one of the three mountains of Moria under which lay the ancient Dwarf realm of Khazad-dum. The Elves call it Caradhas but the dwarves named it Barazinbar. Both words means Redhorn as how other people calls it. The Redhorn was so named because the mountain's peak appeared red in the light of the rising or setting sun. The Sindarin name Caradhras also means "red horn." The word caran means "red." The element ras means "stick up" or "horn" - usually applying to animals but also to mountains. Similarly the Dwarvish name Barazinbar translates as "red horn" from baraz meaning "red, ruddy" and inbar meaning "horn."
