one way to do it s 2 make lyrics (poem) and den put some tune, and a corresponding note kng gus2 nmu iplay. d complication starts der coz ol of us don't hav d talent to exactly name a tune and translate it to notes, like a perfect pitch ability. so probably ul make d song but sumwat ni differ na xa, technically, n tune dan wat u hav n d 1st place..

d oder way way s d melody first, like u choose a key u fil com4table singing n, play a string of notes or chords in that scale, den place an ample lyric dat wil fit sumhow metrically sa imung notes sa verses. d complication hir s u nid 2 arm urself with a thesaurus coz u nid 2 fit d notes nd d words, mining, u hav 2 cancel or add som syllables from ur choosen words by using a synonym or metaphor. worse u nid 2 change som lines..

pili lng..i do it one way or anoder. but praktis (read: trial and error) rily nails it..hehehe
