Just a refreshment:
Aristocrat is another word for noble.
There are several ways to be called a "noble" in Soul Society. The first way is to simply become a Shinigami of Seireitei, in that way you will automatically become a noble to those living in Rukongai. However, within the city is a different story; there are three levels of nobility:
*Bottom-tier: Those who only have the status of being a Shinigami. These types of nobles include Renji, Kira, Hinamori, and all the other Shinigami who were originally from parts of Rukongai.
*Mid-tier: These are Shinigami who would be part of a gentry-like class. Any Shinigami who were said to have been born onto an estate such as Soi Fong or Oomaeda, but not that of a Great House, would be Mid-tier nobility.
*High-tier: These are the Four Noble Houses of Seireitei. The confirmed noble families are the Kuchiki clan, the Shih艒in clan, the Ky艒raku clan (high-ranking noble, but not explained further) and the Kira clan (Izuru was described as having come from a family of "lesser nobility"). Shiba was confirmed to be the 5th noble family. But they fell from grace, leaving only 4.
Remember, the Shihouin have NOT been disgraced and have not fallen from their standing; that was just a threat by Soi Fong regarding Yoruichi's, the Shihouin house's leader, aiding of Ichigo. We know that before there were at least five. Before they fell, like Soi Fong said, the Shiba were considered top nobility. Now they are a broken house cast out into Rukongai as peasantry.

The rebels in the movie were purely nobility but they don't necessary count as one of the "Four" "Great" "Noble" "Families" that comprise Seireitei.
