why not buy 2 6600gts then sli them or any midrange top performing cards then sli them, price will be in range of a single high-end card, its the most logical.
i would NOT suggest a dual core for gaming, simply bec even for the next 2 years, there would be minimal games that will be coded for dual core CPU's id recommend you get an Athlo FX-55 series or the FX-57 series. its a LOT faster than a dual core in any single threaded applications
if money is not a problem get a dual 7800 , but if you just want a resonably priced card the X850 is the fastest most reasonably priced card there is.. the 7800 aint that fast for its cost
@EarlZ : so the X850 has a higher benchmark thn 7800?? and there'z no way i can get dual 7800,.. i dont have that kind of money
and bout the processor,..... i was gonna get the FX-55 but 800 or 900 buckz,.. datz alot,....
1 of mah frnd suggest'd AMD 64 X2 4200+ itz half the price for a FX-55 and he said i could overclock to a 2.4 or a 2.6 or higher but im not sure wat he said exactly.... so i might be wrong,....
is there realy a big difference between them? and u mean dual core is not built for gaming
and i dont think i wanna spend 800 or 900 buck on it coz im already over mah budget,....
if u got the budget.. just buy the 7800GTX. One 7800GTX is faster than two 6800 Ultra on SLI config.
@[DSX] : yeah datz mah plan,.... all im waiting for is da money dat mah homie o'z,.... hopefuly he'll give it to me this week,.... if not,.. next week,.... so dat i can order it online,.... and get this system over wit,.....
i already oder'd mah case "thermaltake Kandalf",.. i'll be getting it around this week,.....
and dat way i can slowing start,.... putting da things together like motherboard,... power supply,.... or maybe modding da case,..... if im not happy with it,...
ATI, if the R520 doesn't paper launch, and it actually happens to be faster than the 7800 GTX.
For now, NVIDIA still has the fastest graphics card to date.. and it actually uses less power than a 6800 Ultra.
I say go for the 7800 GTX!
If you really like ATI, go for the X850 XT PE.
It's actually the other way around: gaming isn't built (yet) for dual core platforms.Originally Posted by cHoLoCoY
