    i've read another koan from my childhood. it goes like this: "Try to remember what you look like before your mother was born." and here's another one that i remembered: "Try to hear the sound of one hand clapping."

    koans are deep, man. but i like it. it makes me reflect on things. dig deeper for the hidden meaning of things.

    yeah too deep, but i think koans are made to disrupt the thinking mind or the logical mind and therefore giving rise to the real mind.

    But to my personal opinion...NO. koans are anti-logic, the purpose is to disrupt the logical part of the brain to give rise to the REAL mind.

    sa tanan religion mas ganahan ko og buddhism , even though I believe in God...
    mas strict ang teaching sa buddhist and the same time there is a big similarities between the two religion in terms of their teachings...values...
