Montano, a 35-year-old businessman and former newspaper columnist, said he would take Gorrell to court to vindicate his name and that of his family and friends whom Gorrell dubbed "Gucci Gang" and pilloried in his infamous blog that has generated more than two million visits at last count.
"In the beginning I didn't think it would get this serious. But now I feel violated," he said.
He said he was forced to come out and fight since Gorrell had been dragging the names of family members and close friends.
"It has gotten out of control. The names of my family and friends are being mentioned; this is clear defamation," he said.
His godfather Benjie Laurel admitted he and other family friends initially advised Montano to keep silent, hoping the controversy would die down.
Montano also appealed to lawmakers to consider laws against Internet defamation.
"This is not curtailing freedom of speech but freedom of speech should not condone defamation or invasion of privacy," he said.
Montano, who admitted he had a relationship with Gorrell, denied they went into business together. He said Gorrell sent him money but they were all spent for Gorrell's living expenses when he decided to live in Boracay.
"I absolutely deny it. I am not a thief," Montano said. He added he had "absolutely nothing" to return to Gorrell.
it's like David vs Goliath...the Australian, nothing to show proof, has resorted to the internet to show what DJ Montano et al are made of...IMHO, i believe Gorrel a lot more than Montano.
increasingly feeling the embarrasment, the entire Montano clan ang gang are now ganging up on him. of course DJ Montano has an edge. it would be noted that the Montanos are very prominent powerful families in Manila.
also, i noticed that DJ Montano is somewhat used to in front of audiences and the media. i saw his interview last night at TV Patrol. he didn't even blink...maybe he could lie in front of the camera without a sweat. who knows, he could even fake the lie-detector test u know...hehe
let him take a drug test first and see if he passes that...hahaha
May unta if dili sad rigged ang drug test, heheheh
bitaw, lie detector tests aren't completely accurate, the results depend on your pulse, and if you are so used to lying, you can put yourself into a state where you can make yourself believe that the lie that you are telling is true.
if you read about the Montano family history, you'd actually find it very interesting, all the crimes, etc etc etc. It's no wonder more people believe Gorrell than Montano
This'd be flipping amazing for a movie...
I think they already talked that over with GorrellOriginally Posted by diatabz
Really, this is refreshing. Filipino celebs are just ridiculous. When someone talks smack they go off crying and act as if its the end of the world. Please... Would you like some cheese with your whine? Why can't you just adopt vietnamese babies like Brad and Angelina? Excellent way to fend off the gossip.
