nagduha duha pa lagi ko kng 320 or 500G.. ikog nakong sir nulbax.. cge ko ask bahin sa ila mga HDDs..

kinahanglan ba jud identical ang duha ka hdd gamiton pra raid??
plano unta nako mag raid sa akong hdd gud..

tanawa lang sa imong mobo kung unsa pwede niya ma support...my mobo can support a RAID set(0,1 or 5) spanning both SATA & PATA drives...

As long it is Raid capable, it would be fine. Just to make sure that you can use raild0, use only sata drives.

If you really want top notch performance but really concerned your data might get corrupted once the RAID-0 Array fails, you might want to consider the option of a RAID-5 array, which requires at least 3 same size HDD. You can utilize 2/3 of the total size, the 3rd HDD will serve as the parity buffer to rebuild your RAID-5 array in case anything goes wrong. It's basically STRIPING with PARITY CHECKING = RAID-5. Performance, stability and redundancy in one.

AFAIK your X38 chipset motherboard can do RAID-1/0/5/0+1/1+0/JBOD.

Damn, just when was finished installing about everything i need esp the games. It just crashed even when my computer was in idle... T_T

I really didnt' notice any additional speed when i tried some games when RAID was still OK.

And it also took me 2 days to install windows XP when using raid since i don't have a floppy drive to install a RAID driver. damn.

i'll just make my 2nd HDD a place for my important files and my main for the Games and Programs. ^_^
