Your claiming your Catholic, but you also claim that the church you belong to is NOT the true church. So why stay in the church which is not really true. It seems your the problematic guy.

A person who wants to belong to a particular church/denomination need not assert that his group has sole, exclusive authority over Christian truth. We probably don't need to assert this in order to feel 'secure' with our group.

Hence, the denominational theory of the church. Unless of course, one holds otherwise.

Church historian Bruce Shelley implied that one of the consequences of not studying and properly understanding church history is that-- "without an adequate base of comparison", one might be led to think that his group is the best group among all Christian sects; at worst, claiming to have sole authority over all Christian denominations.

    Hope this helps..

I don't agree with it. But if that is the case, then there is no need to criticize the Catholic Church for its practices which the other christian group strongly referred to as pagan, blasphemous, etc etc. In other words, wala lang gud hilabtanay.

Why suggest a need of an adequate based of comparison, when you already agreed that one doesn't need to assert which church is more right or more wrong?
