RAID — which stands for Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Disks (as named by the inventor) or Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks (a name which later developed within the computing industry) — is a technology that employs the simultaneous use of two or more hard disk drives to achieve greater levels of performance, reliability, and/or larger data volume sizes.

in principle..RAID 0 is way faster than a single disk..it can even edge over a 10,000rpm raptor x in most apps and games..

have a raid 0 for ur OS disk..

and yeah..ma raid 0 na ur 500gb for a total of 1TB of unsecured space with 32mb of cache. just add another 500gb of same brand and model

16MB cache mn ni ako Hdd 500GB. so kung palit kug lain na hdd exactly the same as my first one then ako xa i RAID 0 kay 32MB cache na xa then 1TB space. much faster pa, tama ba? then as 1 drive nana ang duha ka HDD nako?

GA-x38-DS5 @ 12k sako supplier. hehe. Crossfire lng nuon. pero ge lang. i'll go for the X2 ATI card. ^_^

First thing you should consider if your serious about raid, get a dedicated hardware raid card.. dont rely on the ones that are built-in/software driven.
